The introduction of Skat Traks stainless multi vein pumps was a big step forward in pump technology. Although Polaris had part of it figured out, they already had a 75mm bearing housing, the extra veins in the Skat Trak stators provide that much more pump efficiency. If you have ever had the chance to look up into the jet pump of a sprint boat, you will see about 24 stator veins. The more space you take up inside the pump, the faster the water moves out of the pump. When the pump loses water, it takes less time to refill the pump because there is less room for the water. This it what makes a multi vein so efficient.
